Project Wholesome

About us

Project Wholesome is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 to share voices surrounding public health and to make an impact within the community. Over the years, we have been grateful to partner with FocusOC, FAM (Family Assistance Ministries), CARE Initiative, and JSerra Catholic High School. Additionally, Project Wholesome was able to raise money through GoFundMe, Give Lively, and separate grants rewarded from the Dragon Kim Foundation. From raising over $11,000 through the NHS Chapter of JSerra and Transfer Lions Club, to winning a match-grant of $550 from the Dragon Kim Foundation (also a $5,000 grant to EduVape), we are committed to making the most out of our resources to provide for the community. Namely, we provide care packages for a concentrated public health system in our community. Our founder Dillon Kim started this project because he believes in the two essential and unbreakable pillars of education and health. Through advocating, he believes that more will be aware on how to lead healthier lives, and to help the struggling populations of communities. We plan to reach out to most of the shelters in Orange County and reach our goals with the amount of elderly homes we visit, so if you want to be part of this public health journey, please go to www.eduvape.org (another project of Dillon Kim), thank you!

About The Founder

Hello there! My name is Dillon Kim, and I am the Founder/Director of Project Wholesome. For reference, I am a senior that attends JSerra Catholic High School, and a few hobbies of mine include playing soccer, reading, and making music. As you can tell, I am a pretty ordinary guy, but this just proves how ordinary people can make magnificent changes in their communities. For example, my inspiration for starting Project Wholesome was merely a glance at a person being served at a homeless shelter I was volunteering at. He was intently gazing upon a store catalog, and I could tell from his gloomy eyes that he desperately wanted those items, but knew that he could not touch them anytime soon. My heart immediately sunk into despair, knowing that if I were to help this person, there would still be millions of others to help that are just like him if not worse off. However, I had a yearning to make a change, a hunger driving deep within me screaming to release my inner self of charity and compassion. Therefore, I started Project Wholesome, a way to give back to the community at a safe distance especially during this difficult time. I hope that everyone learns from this initiative as a sign that they can change their community as well. And even if it is not big, just remember that you are doing wonders for another person's life, and know that I am rooting for you on every step of the way. So, let's get to work!
